Merry Christmas from the Calvary Team!

He Is Born!

The True Gift of Christmas

On this special day, we want to wish you a blessed and joyful Christmas. You are deeply loved, and we are grateful for each relationship God has woven into our church family over the years. As you spend time with those closest to you, may the Lord’s peace and grace fill your homes.

Enjoy the celebrations, the laughter, and the quiet moments. When the music fades and the day slows, remember to pause and spend time with Christ, the true gift of Christmas.

Christmas Eve Worship

All are welcome to celebrate Christmas Eve with us on December 24th, 2025 at 5pm - 6:30pm at Calvary Chapel.

A Note From Pastor Ken

Christmas. When I think of Christmas, I think of expectation, joy, and connection. Expectation, hoping that God will come and make things right. Joy in that He did just that when Christ came to change our world. Finally, we become a part of God's family through faith.

The angels said to the shepherds, "Don’t be afraid! I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior, yes, the Messiah, the Lord, has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!"

The gift of Christ is the answer to all we need - Merry Christmas!

Come Together

Christmas is a time to come together. It’s a season to look beyond ourselves and reach out with intention, to check in on an elderly neighbor, call the family member God has placed on your heart, or sit with a friend who may simply need to be heard.

Small acts of love can carry eternal weight. Often, a simple gesture is how God gently reminds someone that they are seen, known, and still walking the path He has set before them.

Give as God Leads

If the Lord leads you, please consider giving to Calvary Chapel. Every gift helps us continue the work of making Christ known in Syracuse and around the world.

Bible verse of the week.

"And the angel said to them, ‘Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord."

~ Luke 2:10–11

A Father's Quiet Influence "The Day I Realized My Dad Was Human" Father’s Day is upon us. It doesn’t receive the same fanfare and attention as Mother’s Day, but that’s okay. Fathers often serve in the background when it comes to nurturing and caring for our children. The Bible commands us to honor our fathers and mothers. In fact, it is a command that comes with a promise. Fathers are often our first protectors and providers. Kids tend to look up to their fathers with a sense of awe. I...

Memorial Day is a time to honor those who have gave up their lives for our freedom.

Honoring the Heroes of America Memorial Day Explained “Thank you for your service!” I hear this often on Memorial Day, and I am grateful for the recognition of my service to our country. However, there is some confusion about it with our holidays. Memorial Day is a time to honor those who gave their lives in service to others, reflecting the biblical call to sacrificial love. We remember with gratitude, pray with humility, and acknowledge that freedom is costly, pointing us ultimately to...

Happy Mother's Day from Calvary Chapel.

Honoring the Faith of Mothers The Influence of a Mother Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, grandmothers, and moms-to-be. Ann Jarvis began what would become Mother’s Day as a way to honor her mother’s faithful service to others. Years later, in 1914, President Woodrow Wilson officially set aside the second Sunday in May as a day to recognize and give thanks for mothers. Mother’s Day began as a way to recognize the quiet, faithful service of mothers, which is something worth honoring. When we...
