Love in Action: Invite a Friend Into Faith

Love in Action:

Inviting a Friend to Faith

Build God's Kingdom Through Love

February often draws our attention to love - cards, flowers, and meaningful gestures toward those closest to us. But Scripture calls us to a deeper love, one modeled by Jesus Himself. A love that gives, serves, and reaches beyond convenience. “We love because He first loved us.” This month, we invite you to live that love out, through prayer, through action, and by inviting others to know the hope we have in Christ. By doing this, we are building God's Kingdom!

Give in Love

Giving is one way we worship & respond to God’s love. Your generosity helps support the ministry of Calvary and the building of God's Kingdom in the community.

NEW! Send a Postcard

Sometimes love looks simple. A thoughtful note. A word of encouragement. A reminder that someone is being prayed for. Postcards are now available at the entrance for you to use to say hello, share a prayer, or pass along something the Lord stirred in your heart during the worship message. Take one, write freely, and let God use a small act to make a meaningful connection.

Love Like Jesus

Teaching our children to love as Jesus loves starts with simple acts of kindness and care for one another. Learn more about Calvary Ministries.

Bible verse of the week.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

~ John 13:34-35

Give to God What is His A Message on Taxes from Pastor Ken When Christ was asked about paying taxes, He asked for a coin. They thought they could trap Him. If He said “no,” He would be accused of rebellion. If He said “yes,” He would be seen as a traitor. But Jesus responded, “Whose image is on this coin?” “Caesar’s,” they said. He replied, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” In other words, give to Caesar what bears his image, and give to...

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ What Easter Means to Us Jesus died for our sins and rose again to secure forgiveness, new life, and a living hope that never fades. “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen.” ~ Luke 24:5-6 At the empty tomb, they were looking for Jesus in the wrong place. And we often do the same. We look for Him in what’s familiar, predictable, or visible, yet He is alive and at work in ways we don’t always expect. Jesus tells us that He is...

A stained glass image of Saint Patrick.

Who Was Saint Patrick? The Story of Saint Patrick Let's begin with a crazy fact: Saint Patrick wasn’t Irish, he was British. Kidnapped at sixteen, taken to Ireland, and sold into slavery. After escaping and returning home, Patrick could have left it all behind. But God had other plans. In time, he felt called to go back to the very people who had enslaved him and share the Gospel with them. He boldly preached Christ, planted churches, and was instrumental in the spiritual transformation of...
