The True Message of Christmas

Christmas is the celebration of God’s greatest gift, His Son, Jesus Christ, given to a world in need of redemption. Living a sinless life, and coming as the Savior of all who believe, Jesus entered our world to bring salvation, peace, and everlasting hope.

As we worship Him this season, we remember that the manger leads to the cross, and the cross leads to resurrection life. Christmas invites us not only to rejoice in His birth but to behold the Savior who came to make us new.

Give as God Leads

We remember the generosity of God, who gave His only Son so that we might have life. At Calvary, your giving supports the ministry that helps us teach God’s Word faithfully, care for our community, disciple the next generation, and make Christ known here in Central New York and beyond.

If the Lord leads you, consider partnering with us through year-end giving.

Give to God What is His A Message on Taxes from Pastor Ken When Christ was asked about paying taxes, He asked for a coin. They thought they could trap Him. If He said “no,” He would be accused of rebellion. If He said “yes,” He would be seen as a traitor. But Jesus responded, “Whose image is on this coin?” “Caesar’s,” they said. He replied, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” In other words, give to Caesar what bears his image, and give to...

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ What Easter Means to Us Jesus died for our sins and rose again to secure forgiveness, new life, and a living hope that never fades. “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen.” ~ Luke 24:5-6 At the empty tomb, they were looking for Jesus in the wrong place. And we often do the same. We look for Him in what’s familiar, predictable, or visible, yet He is alive and at work in ways we don’t always expect. Jesus tells us that He is...

A stained glass image of Saint Patrick.

Who Was Saint Patrick? The Story of Saint Patrick Let's begin with a crazy fact: Saint Patrick wasn’t Irish, he was British. Kidnapped at sixteen, taken to Ireland, and sold into slavery. After escaping and returning home, Patrick could have left it all behind. But God had other plans. In time, he felt called to go back to the very people who had enslaved him and share the Gospel with them. He boldly preached Christ, planted churches, and was instrumental in the spiritual transformation of...
